2013 Peep At The Coop Tour

The Peep At The Coop Tour was a great success! Not only was it a beautiful day, but we met many new chicken fans and learned a lot throughout the event! We look forward to continue to grow and learn through our poultry program.

Mrs. Pillers was right in the thick of the baby chicks. After all, she did hatch and raise them. She is so enthusiastic about chickens that we have nicknamed her "Poultry Pillers".

Several group of student volunteers helped throughout the day. They are so knowledgeble about our farm and farm program and were the best tour guides during the day.

Many visitors loved the farm as much as we did!

The Bono Boys, former MHE student Shane Bono and his dad gave back to the community by tying chicken balloons for the kids.

Frozen treats were served from a food truck and proceeds were given back to the farm.

Eastlake Vetrinary came with their mobile pet adoption truck to find homes for resued pets.

All in all, it was a fun day to celebrate the chickens on our farm!
