MLK Day 2015

We answered that question yesterday on our school farm! Close to 200 volunteers came out to help us spruce up for our National Day Of Service project. Dr. Martin Luther King would have been so proud of our work and efforts. This Farmer is so very thankful for the community that came out, dug in and got so much done. This manpower is so valuable to our program and we could never survive without the constant and generous support that our community brings. Thanks to all who pitched in. We completed our USDA Culinary Beds, cleaned out the class plots to make way for Spring planting, planted a big crop of onions, readied our Giving Garden for planting, cleaned out our Purple Martin Houses, moved mulch, compost and soil, and had a lot of fun!

Thanks for digging in and helping out! We love our community and our school farm! E I E I O...,

Happy New Year From The Farm

We are looking forward to a new year of growing goodness and hatching healthiness on the farm! This time of the year, the garden is in low gear and our dreams of our harvests to come are dancing in our heads. We are excited for the things to come and hope that you are along for the ride to dig in or just enjoy the fruits and the learning that goes with our labors. We hope that you all have a great year! Happy 2015 from Moss Haven Farm!
