Happy Halloween From Moss Haven's Library

Our Librarian is a forward thinking lady. For as long as I can remember, our school has had a Storybook Pumpkin Competition. Who would have thought that one day we would be growing our own on our farm? Although none of these pumpkins actually were grown on our farm, they support our veggie loving climate around here. Enjoy your Halloween festivities and our fun Storybook Pumpkins!

Thanks for sharing these spooktacular creations!

Bring Your Scarecrow To School

Our school community loves our farm! So to celebrate our Fall harvest and have a little fun, we had Bring Your Scarecrow To School Day. I have never seen such wonderful scarecrow creations and I am real excited that some of my friends have even donated them to the farm. The kids who made one got to be in the scarecrow parade at our school wide roundup. Enjoy these wonderul farm creations. You know I did!

We also celebrated the fact that chickens are coming to our school. We can hardly wait!

Take Your Parents To Lunch Day

October 16 was the first ever National Take Your Parents To Lunch Day and we had an incredible turnout. One hundred and eighty one parents showed up to check out our lunchroom at our school. With the recent overhaul of the national school lunch program, we thought it was a good idea to have parents come out and experience the Moss Haven Cafe. Everyone loved it and got to see all the fresh healthy choices that are available these days. It was a fun day!
