Farm Production Ramps Up

Wow.., what a week! Curriculum continues to collide with outdoor learning on the farm and we love it that way! Kinder friends pulled weeds (ask them why we don't want weeds - they know). Then they looked for signs of spring. 5th grade continues their studies about life science and looked at their terrariums and planted some more crops in their beds. A rainy day brought Primary friends inside where we looked at the different variety of seed pods and seeds that came from crops on the farm. There was hen handling, Pro Bull Riders, erosion lessons, and 4H met to work with our poultry pals. Oh.., and did you know that 6th grade is learning about how to write a business plan and actually selling farm fresh speciality herbs at Market Provisions at the Dallas Farmers Market? Yes.., Spring has sprung and we are just beginning to ramp up. We love our farm!
