This week, the entire school came out to work and learn on the farm. We got our crops ready for a deep freeze, by adding dried molasses, compost that came from our cafeteria compost program and tucked them in with hay.
Farmer Aman taught a lesson under the Learning Tree about evergreens. The kids saw many different examples, learned some history (ask them about the mistletoe) and made a little decoration made from pine boughs. The weather was perfect and the farmers worked hard. It was a great week of teamwork and caring for our farm.
