Farmer For the Day 2017

Farmer for the Day is one of my favorite days. Generous parents buy a spot to spend a school day on the farm with me. Kids from grades Kinder-6th work together to take care of some farm chores, eat some healthy foods and spend time with our flock. This year, the Farmers gave our hens a bath, which was quite fun for all! It never seems like work when we are on the farm, because there are so many interesting things to learn from the jobs that need to be done. Maybe some of these friends will be future farmers one day, or at least have some chickens or a garden in their own backyard. E I E I O...,
