With warmer temperatures, many lessons are happening on the farm. Every grade level is coming out to connect their curriculum on a regular basis and skills are being applied in a real world setting. This week, 4th grade was learning about soil, so they investigated the components of soil (ask them about this) and dug up some soil samples around the farm to observe, gather data and compare. Third grade studied natural resources and Intermediate Health/Wellness Enrichment Cluster came out to run obstacle courses and practice their skills. 4H friends drove out to the Trinity Audubon Center to share their love of chicken at the Urban Chicken Fest.
We love the many opportunities that our farm program gives to our students and community! Every day brings great adventure and learning and we love it that way!
