This week brought a lot of activity to the farm. Many Primary friends came out to hunt for life cycles of plants and bugs. We found 3:4 stages of Lady Bugs, tons of Forest Tent Caterpillars, worms, grubs and even a flock of geese. Armed with magnifying glasses, our farm friends inspected every square inch of the farm, gathered data and eagerly reported their findings. Farley/Lay came out between rain showers and harvested from their garden to make a giant salad. Many of the students had never tried swiss chard, but now are big fans of it. Our Pop Up Market was a big hit and some farm friends harvested cilantro to make homemade salsa. Yum! It was a great week on the farm!

Moss Haven Goes To The White House
For the second year in a row, Moss Haven students were invited to the White House Easter Egg Roll. It was just as awe-inspiring as it was the first time! We took Spirit our mascot along and grabbed shots of him along the way. From the National Zoo to the National Mall with a few Farmers Market stops and paying our respects at Arlington Cemetery, playing on the White House lawn was the highlight of our trip! Thank you to the Obama Family for hosting us and for all the friends who were able to snag us extra tickets along the way.
